"After 35 years in America, I never thought I would see this."  So wrote Stuart Varney, English-born Fox business correspondent in the Wall Street Journal on Saturday.  He was referring to the Obama administration's refusal to allow the payoff on a $1 billion TARP 'investment'.  As ex-GM chief Rick Waggoner found out, getting in bed with the U.S. government can result in severe injury.  Now it appears that the administration's agenda for banks is as clear:  Prohibit extrication from the puppet meisters, and watch out as they whittle control from private hands.  Tim Geithner warned of as much, telegraphing that bankers' heads may roll as he appeared on CBS's Face The Nation.  Watch for more power plays and governmental picking of winners and losers to gain momentum as the economy loses it.

Ok, you think I’ve lost it when I say it’s time to overhaul Washington D.C.?  Fair enough.  But who can deny the old jalopy we call our federal government is a pitiful, embarrassing shadow of its former self?

Maybe it took the perspective of a week at my Northern Missouri ranch and the resultant heartland high.  Maybe it was the flurry of preposterous stories coming out of the capital the last two weeks.  Or maybe I’ve just had so much overload with underperformance by our leaders that the sentiment crystallized.  But it’s crystal clear to this commentator that we need major, dare I even say revolutionary, personnel change at all levels. This doesn’t mean the unelected are exempt.  Just take a look at facts on the ground.

In a little less than 2 weeks we’ve seen the assault on a police officer by a disobedient and arrogant Congresswoman blamed on chauvinism, racism and lack of respect for ‘royalty’.  We’ve stood agape as the political self preservation instinct on both sides of both chambers of Congress trumped the popular will, rejecting alien-tight borders while pandering to potential Hispanic voters through amnesty cloaked in transparent legis-babble.  All this deference to illegals is more appalling in light of past and threatened protests featuring Mexican reconquest rallies, Hispanic (and at least in some significant number illegally enrolled) students boycotting classes and the planned May Day (no coincidence that this is the communist’s Independence day) boycott designed to highlight America’s utter dependence on illegal alien labor.

Even formerly well concealed biases have emerged boldly among stalwart and seemingly old-school journalists.  Tim Russert is now passé with his weekly barrage from the Left’s talking points sheet:  ‘What about the WMD’s that weren’t there?’ is the deafening rhetoric du jour posed to every guest.  The stench of arrogance and the trampling of the peoples’ voice are choking America.  We need regime change, and not in November.

So I have a proposal for all those who deny hyphenated ethnicity, who speak American English in one form or another, who on April 15th perennially participate in the great American parlor game of income redistribution, who celebrate the role of Judeo-Christian underpinnings in American culture and values, and who would rather give a neighbor a hand up rather than a handout.

Let’s have a real MLK style Great American Tax Payer Illegal Park In on May 1st.  Wait, it’s not that absurd.  How about 12 million of us (I’ll be the first if we get a critical mass) make a point of committing a mere misdemeanor (like crossing the border illegally is) and park in loading zones to shop for our kid’s clothing, school bus parking zones to facilitate our kids’ education, maybe even accessible spaces at the grocery store so the little tikes don’t starve while we walk the longer route from a regular spot?  And don’t forget to occupy those coveted and important E.R. and radiation oncology spaces at your local hospital if your li’l Sweet Pea has a sniffle, some diarrhea or an ear ache.   After all we’re only seeking out humane access to medical care, food and education for our families.  Never mind that we would confiscate these services from law abiding American citizens who might also need critical medical access, food or other important resources for their dependents.  C’mon, now, the folks at large don’t really care, do they?  ‘Law abiding citizens’ are after all politically mute these days, having been fragmented and deceived by power grubbing, vote whores called politicians since Reagan.  The silent Americans are too preoccupied and uninformed to even notice their political disembowelment.  They’re too busy debating who will be the next Idol or how cutie Katie will fare at CBS.

And if we illegal parkers get tickets, there’s no way a fair judicial system, like the one which fails to immediately book Imperially Protected Minority Times Two Congresswomen who assault Capitol Hill cops or deport Illegal Aliens post haste, won’t likewise excuse our misdemeanor in behalf of our families, rest assured.  It’s only logical that the tickets would be waived, and our Congress could be successfully petitioned to grant Illegal Parker Amnesty, especially for those of us who occupied the spot for the longest interval.  And at least one aide has told me on the QT that if we all swore allegiance to the incumbents who waived our penalties, we might even be granted Guest Parker Passes good for occasional use in a pinch……it’s only humane and for the children, right?

America 2006 is a country whose opulence and bloated lifestyle supercedes any idealistic adherence to the principles that have served us so well for so long:  National identity, allegiance to the American flag and what it stands for, the expectation that citizens will speak the American language and obey the laws of the land.  My evidence?  Will Barry Bonds, Jack Abramhoff, the 95% of Hispanic illegal aliens who speak Spanish and demand bilingual education, Harry Belafonte and Danny Glover (flanking Cynthia McKinney), Ward Churchill and others who apparently hate America and it’s laws, traditions and values please step forward and take a bow?

It was Teddy Roosevelt who said:  We have room for but one flag, the American flag. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."   While speaking to a gathering of illegal aliens, one modern day superstar leader said:  It is so heartening to see you here... You are really here on behalf of what America means...”  This person may be the next president of the greatest nation on Earth.  Her name is Hillary Clinton.

Anyone want to park illegally on May 1st?  Hillary, George Bush and the rest of those who like pre-reformation priests worship at the alter of political power and correctness while letting the peasants listen to their rhetorical pig Latin need to be boycotted in even larger ways (recalls or at least the electoral process).  But the Great Tax Payers Illegal Park In on May 1st would be a great start.  E-mail me if you’re in and I’ll publish the list in letters to the President, Congressional Leaders and the Mainstream Media.  Let’s start the next populist revolution now.  America is disintegrating quickly.
