"After 35 years in America, I never thought I would see this."  So wrote Stuart Varney, English-born Fox business correspondent in the Wall Street Journal on Saturday.  He was referring to the Obama administration's refusal to allow the payoff on a $1 billion TARP 'investment'.  As ex-GM chief Rick Waggoner found out, getting in bed with the U.S. government can result in severe injury.  Now it appears that the administration's agenda for banks is as clear:  Prohibit extrication from the puppet meisters, and watch out as they whittle control from private hands.  Tim Geithner warned of as much, telegraphing that bankers' heads may roll as he appeared on CBS's Face The Nation.  Watch for more power plays and governmental picking of winners and losers to gain momentum as the economy loses it.

It's show time for GOP Print E-mail
Thursday, 19 October 2006
Alright already, folks.  Enough of the pundits, the so-called analysts, the party planners.   It's time for we the people to speak up wi th our votes.  And this time it seems ripe for a GOP spanking, just like  Clinton's '92 ascendence led by hope for change, any change.

Are the Rumors True...Is Randy Leaving? Print E-mail
Saturday, 26 August 2006

The answer is yes......and a big, big no.  After spending every second (except speaking events and vacations) of my tender 48 years in St. Louis, it's time to pack up the family and move to the country.  But the radio show is going ABSOLUTELY nowhere.  Even though Kerry, Pelosi, Kennedy, Reid, Michael Moore and the entire left wishes I would leave, uh-uh, no-way, we're coming at'em stronger than ever.  But some background on the move....

George Bush Does The Rope-A-Dope Print E-mail
Saturday, 22 July 2006

OK, so the Bush Doctrine of preemption took it on the chin in Iraq.  That's true from a political standpoint.  The reality of course will take years to play out.  Like most epic conflicts, the white hat guys (that's us, despite what Dick 'Turban' Durbin says) will have their good and bad days.  But in the last few months, we've seen a savvy and stealth change of course for the administration's war on terror.....right out of Muhammed Ali's playbook.

Can We Just Get Along? Print E-mail
Saturday, 17 June 2006

Last week on vacation I started feeling good about America again. Vacations can be that way. Nice places and people having fun can even make Scrooge optimistic. But they also give the mind time to slow down, cast aside endless rumination about the next task, and lead to some semi-coherent thinking…..

States Must Fight for America's Life Print E-mail
Thursday, 11 May 2006

The balance has tipped.  The see-saw is irreversibly weighted  on

the side of ego bloated and power addicted politicians who can no longer see the American forest for the political trees.....
